Position Responsibilities: The Product Manager will lead product line contribution as a business unit. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. This position will build products from existing ideas, and develop new ideas based on industry experience and contacts with customers and prospects. The position requires a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. It will require spending time in the market to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market. It also includes ensuring that revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction goals are met.

The Product Manager must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. This position will work with engineering and sourcing to define product release requirements. This position will work with marketing to define the go-to-market strategy, help understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. This position will serve as the internal and external evangelist for the product offering, working with sales and key customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
  • Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Engineering, Marketing and Sales) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.
  • Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
  • Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product.

    Education Required: BS/BA
     
    Position Experience: REQUIREMENTS
    • Engineering or Marketing degree.
    • 3+ years of product management experience and experience developing and launching consumer products.
    • Plumbing Industry experience preferred (new construction)
    • This position requires 30-40% travel
