Responsibilities: |
As Product Mananger you will be marketing packaging products to companies using foodservice products in their daily operations. Clients include companies such as McDonald's and Starbucks. This position plans, develops, and implements product line marketing strategies to achieve volume and revenue forecasts in the Foodservice Division. The Product Manager will develop a solid understanding of the competitive environment to include market share, product positioning, channel strategies, product comparisons, market pricing, and other related activities. This individual provides strategic leadership to assigned product lines by driving projects and programs which create demand and maximize opportunities to satisfy customer needs that achieve the financial objectives of the business. The Product Manager will also be responsible for sustaining the marketing efforts of existing products within the line to maximize market penetration and effectively manage the product lifecycle process. This position will be responsible for the development, coordination and execution product training, especially relating to competitive differentiation and evolving customer needs in relevant market segments. Additionally, this role is responsible to activate market insights and needs in the marketplace, to develop and prioritize new products based on customer needs, as well as develop and execute plans to launch and rationalize products throughout the lifecycle. This role is responsible for the overall P&L for the product category.

Experience: |
- Manages assigned product line as determined by Category Manager.
- Performs classic Product Management functions to ensure financial health of products, including, but not limited to: P&L ownership; developing annual product marketing plans and regular assessments; business/financial reviews; forecasting; managing the end-to-end product lifecycle for product line.
- Leads or actively participates in the New Product Development process to ensure continual activity and a full pipeline of innovation within the Foodservice division.
- Own, develop, and deliver product and market training materials and programs for Foodservice Sales Team, along with distributor and operator teams.
- Display solid project management skills in working with cross-functional teams in the areas of product changes or improvements, cost reductions, SKU rationalizations, etc.
- Implement and own the process to regularly profile, test, and catalogue competitive information to become the market industry expert on competitive intelligence for product line.
- Close collaboration with advertising agency to create and update collaterals, sample kits, launch programs, etc.
- Participates in the following planning or budgeting processes: sales/volume planning; capital planning; annual marketing plan and budget.
- Communicates with appropriate departments to ensure accurate assumptions and information.
- Actively communicates within cross-functional areas to increase general awareness of product line strategy and plans.
