Position Responsibilities:
  • Develop category reviews that include information, both scan and non-scan, that will be leveraged to grow the Companys and total category sales with its trade customers.
    • With information from sales and various data sources, identify sales opportunities.
    • Develop solutions with respect to product distribution, promotion, pricing, and shelf-placement.
    • Prepare clear and concise presentations to inform customers of business/consumer trends, existing opportunities and solutions for growth.
  • Assist Consumer Insights Manager in proactively identifying market opportunities available and communicate to sales.
    • Discuss possible emerging trends observed during day-to-day analysis.
    • Work with managers on specific projects intended to proactively provide sales with opportunities and market information.
  • Participate in various activities to enhance job performance and personal growth.
  • Experience out in the market is essential in ensuring the analysts ability to provide useful information tools for sales.
  • Conduct market visits that include: Meetings in brokers offices; Retail audits with DSMs/RSMs; Quarterly sales meetings; Account calls; Business/presentation planning sessions with RSMs and brokers.
  • Complete cross-departmental projects.
  • Complete all necessary information technology training.
    • Assist other functional areas to develop business opportunities and provide information to sales.
    • Work with Marketing to identify and close opportunities.
    • Work with Marketing Research to analyze, recap, and disseminate pertinent research findings to sales

Education Required: BS/BA
 
Position Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Consumer Packaged Goods history
  • 1-3 years analytical experience
  • Syndicated sales data experience required (IRI and/or Nielsen)
  • Shelving software experience a plus (Apollo/ProSpace a plus)
  • Experience with Household Panel Data required
  • Exposure to advanced Household Panel Data a plus (T&R, Switching/SOV, Market Structure, etc.)
  • Strong computer and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
