As the successful candidate you will be responsible for providing fact-based consumer insights using internal data, primary consumer research, syndicated research, and secondary research to help identify key learning's and implications regarding new product innovation.
Direct the development of research methodologies that are appropriate to answer the specific consumer question.
Define unmet consumer needs. Develop, shape and quantify concepts. Assess product/concept fit with a range of consumer research methods
Act as the voice of the consumer across all company divisions in partnership with division Consumer Insights leaders.
Identify strategic priorities for consumer research projects that are consistent with the overall business and reallocates resources accordingly.
Partners with other marketers, and external Consumer Insights agencies to recommend research approaches to business issues, interpret findings, and communicate implications.
Collaborate extensively with the Consumer Insights leads of each Business Unit
Partner with other marketers to set category and portfolio strategy.
Track consumer trends and conducts strategic research to identify areas of opportunity.
Establish and maintain standards and methods in both primary and secondary research

Experience:
To qualify for this opportunity you must have a minimum of 12 years consumer insights experience in a Consumer Package Goods environment.
4+ years dedicated dedicated new product experience
Some food service experience a plus
Intermediate proficiency with numeric data analysis
Demonstrated management and supervisory skills
Experienced in selling-in new products, category leadership strategies and consumer insights at top national retailers
Understanding of new product process and track record of successful product innovation leadership
Strong marketer who understands how to leverage insights into positioning, branding, communication and innovation.
